A Message from the Club President

Thank you for your interest in the Rotary Club of Singer Island!  As the new president of the club, I share my observations with you:

1)      We are growing with new, quality members because our current membership understands the meaning of recruiting.  Without new members, Rotary loses its momentum and the future becomes a big question mark.  New members bring new ideas and energy!  We invite you to attend one of our meetings and ask questions.  Perhaps the Rotary Club of Singer Island is the solution to having too much time on your hands, or too much service orientation without knowing where to place your efforts and enthusiasm.

2)      Why Rotary?  I believe there is no better run organization in terms of transparency and respectability.  Its programs help millions (whether battling the remainder of polio in the world, building water systems, creating schools, providing mosquito nets…the list is endless).  You know where your money goes.  There are no surprises! 

3)      Why the Singer Island Rotary? It is said we are the “friendliest club around”.  That is confirmed over and over.  More importantly, we are a diverse group of working and retired members who understand the meaning of teamwork.

4)      Our club provides substantial scholarship awards to deserving students from our local award winning SunCoast School in Riviera Beach.  We have supported a water project in Mexico, a school in Guatemala, and many local endeavors where need exists.

5)      Rotary is “Service Above Self” but we do have FUN!  Our lunch meetings are entertaining with members sprinkling each meeting with humor, exchange of ideas and experiences.
