Singer Island Rotary Club Scholarships
College scholarships are awarded annually by the Rotary Club of Singer Island each school year.
Club scholarships are four thousand ($4,000) paid at the rate of five hundred dollars ($500) per college semester for a maximum of eight semesters. The number of club scholarships awarded each year depends on funds available and is at the discretion of the Club.
One additional scholarship is awarded each year; the Mark Turpen Scholarship. Mark was a long time Rotarian and supporter of youth activities. Funds for this award are provided by his friends and family. The two thousand ($2,000) stipend is paid annually ($500) for four years. The application form and other criteria are the same as for the club scholarship.
Once awarded, scholarships are renewed each semester upon submission of an official transcript showing the student is maintaining at least a “C” average. The college transcript must be sent within 45 days of the end of the semester in order to remain in good standing.
Must be a high school senior at Suncoast High, Inlet Grove Community, or Dwyer High.
